Searching for a person
Type the name of the person you are looking for into the "Look for" field on the home page, and press Go.
If too many notices appear, you can:
- add more words to make the search more specific
- select a notice type (eg Weddings or In Memoriam), either by clicking on the notice type icon on the home page or, by selecting the notice type in the Search in dropdown menu
- limit the search to (eg) notices from the previous week, by selecting from the Date range dropdown menu
If too few notices appear, try:
- using wild cards in the names, for instance, instead of searching for 'rachel woodehouse', try 'rach* wood*' instead
- make sure that the Date range and Search in drop downs are set to All notices
- if there is a chance that the notice has appeared in a different newspaper, try choosing a different newspaper or region by clicking (change) or (select a newspaper) next to the Searching in line
