STOCKWELL. On April 8th 2009, Peter John (John) passed away peacefully at Great Western Hospital, Swindon. Beloved husband of Mavis, much loved dad of Bev, Dean, John, Gary, Samantha, Clint and their partners and special grandad to their children. Our rock has left us, our loss is enormous, our love will carry on, rest in peace beloved. Funeral Service to take place at West Berkshire Crematorium, Thatcham on Monday April 20th at 12.45pm. No flowers, donations in Johns memory if desired may be made to Cancer Research UK c/o Turner Brothers, 15 Hampton Road, Newbury, RG14 6DB.

  • Dad and Grandad

    You can shed tears that he is gone, or you can smile because he has lived.

    You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back, or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

    Your heart can be empty because you cannot see him, or you can be full of the life you have shared with him.

    You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

    You can remember him and only that he is gone or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.

    You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you could do what he would want, - Smile, open your eyes, Love and go on "To live in the hearts of those we love is never to die".

    Always in our hearts and thoughts. We miss you.

    Treasured memories woven in gold, this is the picture we tenderly hold. Though absent, you are ever near - still loved, still missed and still very dear. Deep in our hearts your memory is kept, to love, to cherish and never forget.

    We miss you dearly. Think, talk and have a good 'ol cry about you daily. Rest peacefully my dear father-in-law.
